“Friends: The Reunion" Reviewed: A Great Trip Through Memory Lane

Just as everyone watched TV during the ’90s (no streaming shows then!), sitcoms were huge in the local broadcast stations. The big stations (CBS, ABC, and NBC) had their share of hits, but no other could match Friends that debuted in 1994.

I remember watching the show in 1994 with my brother on NBC Thursday night glued on the television set. My first episode was in Season 1 Chapter 7: The One With the Black Out. In it, Chandler is stuck with a very famous model in the ATM machine, while Ross is trying to tell his feelings to Rachel. If you haven’t had a chance to watch it, do it. It’s just comedy gold.

In fact, all the episodes I would argue in the first five seasons were great. Solid writing, well-paced, and the characters were great and had an innocence to them. I would also argue that the later seasons (after Monica and Chandler getting together) were not as great, just because the characters had started to become a little bit wilder, and the storylines were OK at best.

Anyways, I am rambling at this point (can you tell I am a huge Friends fan? I even went to their Pop-up shows!). So, when I heard about the Reunion, I was excited and very worried that one of…
